This is my first post here, and i'm sure it won't be my last.

http://www.myspace.com/39552955

I put youtube music videos on my page and have it set as autoplay and have the height/width set to zero so nobody can see it.

All was good for a while, however today when i changed song, it would not start automatically w/ FireFox. I checked on IE and it works fine.

a couple weeks ago i had the same problem, but it worked on FF and not IE. when i changed the layout completely that issue went away.

i've tried moving it to different sections of the profile, put it in "who i'd like to meet" while everything else is in "about me" but to no avail...

any thoughts??

would there be a definitive reason as to why it works some times and not others though? it just didn't seem to make much sense to me how it has been working like this for the past year... but now it won't.

i'm gonna change my profile. i'm currently at work with no sound. let me know how it goes

using firefox 3 could be the problem, too. FF3 has some issues with cached sounds and images, and they don't always load properly. sometimes closing firefox and restarting it, or clearing your cache, can fix the problem.

just cleared cache and set height/width to 1 and its still not autoplaying for me. did a hard refresh as well

this is the exact coding for the youtube video
CODE
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess="never" allowNetworking="internal" height="1" width="1" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/EUP53eJPhtY&autoplay=1">
<param name="allowScriptAccess" value="never" />
<param name="allowNetworking" value="internal" />
<param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/EUP53eJPhtY&autoplay=1" />
<param name="wmode" value="transparent" />
</object>

When I loaded the page in Opera (which is a lot like firefox) the music played fine for me.

my account settings shouldn't matter considering this is a youtube video and not a song coming from MySpace Music Player

and sorry bout the double post. the forum i frequent most auto-merges double posts. its very convenient

hmmm. well, that could have been why it stopped working in IE. i changed the song and its now back to workin in IE but not FF.

i'll just change the layout completely later tonight and see if it changes

i think it was a problem w/ the layout coding. i changed layouts and it works fine on both FF and IE. so i dunno?

either way, i guess this can be closed/moved
