I'll be taking this test next year. Has anybody taken it? Any advice? I think I might take a Kaplan or Testmasters course over the summer, but idk.

i'm taking the pcat. which is ALOT easier than the mcat.

I'm planning to be a surgeon so taking the PCAT isn't even on my agenda. I don't really even think you can compare the PCATs to the MCATs, since they essentially lead to different professions.

Take practice tests. A lot of practice tests. You can get books for the exam but nothing beats the practice tests. You can buy old ones off the MCAT association's website. Everyone says they are worth every penny.

I spoke to several doctors about this and they`ve always highly recommended mcat prep programs. One even typed up a list for me, but it's somewhere under all the junk on my floor.
