is it possible to make currently selected links look a certain way with just HTML and CSS?

i think she's talking about active links and focused links.
CODE a:active, a:focused { properties } active links are when you first click on a link. focused are when you click on a link and unclick (i.e., if you have a link set to <a href="#">, then the colors, etc., that you assigned to a:focus will remain that way until you click away from the link). |
