I actually don't know if this thread has been done before, because the search feature doesn't seem to like me.

But vote here for your cantidate, explain why if you wish.

Also, note I don't know any of the 3rd party cantidates so don't complain to me about that >_<

edit: would've posted this in debate, but it seems you cant make polls.
Reason for edit: Fixed some spelling in the poll. - Cristy

I was watching the news last night and apparently there's some test that was developed that can determine whether or not you are making a prejudiced decision in the upcoming election. The 3 people the news people used as examples all got that they prefered whites over blacks so I wanted to see what if it was rigged. So I took it and I don't remeber the exact wording but apparently, I moderately prefer black people over white people and I moderately prefer Obama over McCain.

Lol @ cb mock election. you do know this site is fill with 15-16 year olds. so it's not like their votes on this site will be any indication of the actual mock election.

come election day, I think the results may be closer and a tighter race than many may think.

Living in the South, it's really hard to believe that Obama is leading in the polls. Not this poll, of course, but the real ones. Not that it's a very good sample of the general population here, but I've heard a horrifically large amount of blatantly racist or otherwise bigoted comments lately and I'm concerned.

Basically, I got the same result.

But I think it was influenced because I had the tv on, and my mother was belittling my SAT scores.

It might sound horrible, but one of the reasons I want Obama to win is so that raciest America will get pissed. Shows hoe politically involved I am. =/

That's stupid. Pissed off racists do dumb/hate driven things.

This election won't change shit for them, they're raised that way and just because a black man leads their country, that's not going to make them all of a sudden change their views they've held constant for decades and decades. It'll pass with time, but right now the older generation (which has one of the highest voter turnouts) will not vote for Obama because he's black.

i think this a vote based on different opinions. a lot of my friends say that obama might win because he's black and a lot of african-americans will vote for him and such. on the other hand, white people for mccain. i think that's so racist.. although i see how it's true.. i know some states still have grudges on this race thing for president, but don't say anything..

if i was 18, i wouldn't vote. because i wouldn't know who to choose. my parents are going for mccain due to the tax properties and such. obama is for prochoice and mccain is for prolife.. i believe they're both good just for different reasons and at different things. they are both bad because they have some cons with it.. i don't understand how i would make choice in the future. my mom has always been democratic till this year.. and my father voted for republic and sometimes democrate.. ugh, parents can't make choose who i would want to vote..

if i can't decide now, i don't think i'll be able to decide in the future.. lol xD! thank goodness i'm not 18 yet! (x

Which is good. I don't want to prefer one race of the other. But when you had to press K whenever John McCain and 'good' words came up I had a really hard time. I kept almost pressing D.

No matter what you do, I don't think you can make it look like Obama if you include McCain's smile.

We did a mock election in my euro history class, and way more than the majority of the people wanted McCain, and for no reason except for gay marriage, the war, and abortion. SIghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

yeah a majority of people i know who are voting for mccain are doing so purely on social issues...which i just don't understand. i can't imagine voting for a president based on issues that don't even effect you, like abortion and gay marriage. neither of these things effect the friends i'm referring to.

He affected so and so adversely.

Affect is the verb, effect is the noun.

EDIT: HOLD IT RIGHT THERE JC, OBAMA IS BLACK AND HE'D KNOW WHICH ONE TO USE! Half white though, so.. Well I guess you already got it half way. Never mind ^_^

Fortunately, I've seen more from people voting for McCain for economic reasons than social ones. I'm fine with those people. The ones who are voting for him for social reasons are the ones I can't help but argue with.

I'd feel pretty terrible voting for someone who was against Roe v Wade or gay rights etc, but they're not deciding factors.
