Ok, "demean" probably isn't the appropriate word.
So, if you couldn't guess by all the pink stuff that's being sold, October is breast cancer month. Anyways, my mother (who is a breast cancer survivor), hates the fact that a lot of companies start making pink products and send a portion of the proceeds to cancer research. It's not the latter that she's bothered by. She thinks a lot of companies exploit the fact that it's breast cancer awareness month and make pink products only to lure in buyers. And that in doing so, they trivialize cancer. Any thoughts? |

Oh some corporations absolutely capitalize on this and any other "<dx> month". However, regardless of intention, if money from the sold pink products is truly donated to cancer related research, then I believe that the good outweighs the bad.

i think the same thing to, my aunt has the same thing and my mom won let us buy pink stuff because she doesn't believe the profits go to anyone
