Okay, sorry if this question has been done to death.
I was working on an overlay.
I was following a guide on this site and just became completely lost.

I made an image as the background and spots for tables.

and then i grabbed a CSS sheet for the fonts, colors ETC.

And then nothing would ever show up.
no background image or anything :[

but on a different note.
is an overlay just an image with DIv tables over it?
like you put in the div code and then just position it to the area and make the width and height correct?
I understand stuff better when i understand the object.

EDIT(sorry i just realized posted this in the wrong area)

Yes, a div overlay is just a image and divs on it. You might of edited the CSS incorrectly.

Provide the codes that you have used, that way we can see what you did wrong. Is the code in either About Me or I'd Like To Meet?

Regarding on your note, basically yes.
