1. venti-anemoi - The overall colorization & tones are great. We can see this on the cover of a coffee-shop's menu. The font & placing are nice. Everything just goes really well together.


Bottom 2:
1. vogueXdirge - Your icon is really nice & the editing is great. However, the font is a bit hard to read. The colors are a bit dull as well.

2. moorepocket - You did a great job at portraying the cupcake theme you have going on here. But there seem to be too many text effects.

vogueXdirge. Your icon is cute & all but is seems like you just cropped a picture. Although it is nice, and such we just feel like you could have done more with this round. Sorry. Thank you for participating though!

Please keep in mind that once you send in your icon, you cannot send in another one replacing that so please be certain that's your submission when turning it in. All submissions are to be in by 11:59pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.

I actually like vogueXdirge's icon better than moorepocket's.
I wasn't so crazy about the pink text, but I really liked the cupcakes in the back!
As for vogueXdirge's I thought his was nice, but it would have been nicer if he played around more with the levels or something. Also, the text could have been a little less fuzzy.

I thought so too. I disagree with what the judges said about "just cropping;" it looks to me like he used textures and coloring effects. I like the colors as well. And I like the Queen Antoinette/French Revolution reference. XD Apparently I did learn something in World History.

The pink text in Ryan's icon didn't flow that well for me. :/ The cupcakes look delicious, though.

The pink text in moorepocket's is a little hard to read, but I think you guys made the right choice. I don't see how vogueXdirge's was knocked off for just looking like a cropped photo, though...I just think it needs some contrast and a different font.

I agree on the pink text but i love the coloring done to the image. Looks better than vogueXdirge's. but i have to disagree on it looking like just a cropped photo. The effects and editing is pretty noticeable in the icon. The quote is too funny. Nice movie reference.
