I go to work in 20 min and need to figure this out.

My manager's boss is coming to my shift and my manager told us "you don't need to dress business casual, just look nice."

Do you think wearing jeans would be okay in this situation?

(And don't move this to Fashion bc I need an answer NOW!)

It depends on the job, but it would be safe to go ahead and say no.

I'd go with something a little less casual. Dress pants or khakis.

My khakis are wrinkled and my black pants are in my luggage bag :(

I'll just wear a skirt, I guess.

Sounds like a bold move, lets see if it pays off.

Ack, do you have spray bottle? You can just get some of the wrinkles that way. Pants would be better unless the skirt is casual looking.

I agree, jeans = too casual. If the skirt is more plain, then I think it's fine.

Business casual =/= jeans!!

Wear some dress pants and a pretty conservative top, doesn't have to be a button-down shirt or anything. I would probably wear some type of knit sweater on top, depending on the weather. As for shoes, as long as they're not sneakers or show any toes, it should be fine.

Even if it was a casual enough environment to wear jeans, it's always a better idea to be overdressed than be too casual.

Oh shit, I totally didn't read the actual post LOL.

In that case, I would still dress it up a bit just in case...jeans would probably be okay since he said NOT business casual, but of course don't wear ripped/acid-washed jeans. Dark wash trouser jeans would be nice.

maybe they were nice shorts! I woulda gone naked, as my body would have been very appropriate garb for the occasion.

They might've been nice shorts, but those were not nice thighs.

Gross.

But seriously, do not understand the concept of formal shorts, regardless of cottage cheese thighs.
