What is it with this downward spiral of procrastination?

You know you have to get your shit done, and yet you haven't cracked open a book and you're like...f**k it. I'm already screwed. I might as well fail.

SOMEBODY SAVE ME FROM THIS ENDLESS ABYSS OF DESPAIR.

I think we're all going through that right now sad.gif

I missed a whole day of school today, and all I got done was my reading for tomorrow's class. I spent most of the day watching YouTube videos, going on cB, watching TV, and eating cereal.

And I just realized recently that my first English paper is due next Friday, and I haven't even finished reading the play yet. And I hardly have any time to do it this weekend because I'm working more hours than usual. ><

Get your mom to hide your laptop from you, and lock yourself in your room to study. DO IT. I did that for about two hours today and I got my reading done.... not like it was too much progress, but it's something!

I put off my history paper until 8am Wednesday morning (it was due at 11), at which point I said f**k it and went back to sleep. It's not that big of a deal, though, because I have one every week, they're pass/fail, and it's not like I'm going to fail any i actually do.

Yep, here I am at school and I am putting of a 300 WORD paper! 300 frigging words. I can do that in my sleep. Yet, i still won't do the easiest thing there is to do. =/

In fact, I think I am going to continue watching Sex and the City until about 12:20, and then I'll get started on this paper. My class starts at 2 so it's alright. I can get it done in an hour or two.

I should have just finished that anthropology assignment instead of read the pages assigned for today. The TA emailed us saying we'd discuss the chapter thoroughly, so I made SURE I read it all.

Yeah, so we didn't really discuss it at all and now I've wasted a freebie late assignment. Woot.

I have a paper due tomorrow, and I haven't even started actually writing for it yet. I'm still deciding on a thesis... I've changed it at least four times in the last three hours. I am so f**king screwed.

Oh man, good luck!!

I finally decided on a thesis, and am now looking for evidence to back it up through my books (I'm comparing and contrasting two characters from two different Shakespearean plays). My essay outline is looking pretty good so far... I just hope I'll be able to connect my thoughts together when I actually start writing the essay.

^ Are there chapter summaries at the back? If so, you can just skim through it and then go read the summaries. That's what I did for some of my anthropology reading... it gets too tedious, y'know?

I'm still working on my essay outline... I haven't even touched the actual essay yet. I have a little less than 16 hours left until this paper is due... should I just go to sleep for a couple of hours and write the essay later? Or should I just stay up until I'm totally finished?

why yes there are chapter summaries but they are pretty general. Plus my prof made it sound like the midterm would be super hard so I better know the specifics...:(

On the bright side, I am meeting way more people now. And acually staying friends with them. Today I had lunch with a bunch of people who weren't from my high school!

On my itouch in bed again so sorry for any weird typos because I'm not proofreading this shit

^ Hey, good job! YOU CAN DO IT MELISSA, YOU CAN DO IT!!

I stayed up all last night with the exception of the two two-hour naps I took randomly... and now I am at 635 words. How pathetic is that? I worked on this essay for about 15 hours, and I'm not even close to finishing it yet.

But I still think I'll be alright... I have until 5pm, and I have my outline all nicely constructed. I CAN DO IT, I CAN DO IT!

I got my second Economics assignment back today. The one I stayed up late for and cried over. I got 12/20.

And ehh... Anthropology midterm tomorrow. I'm scared as f**k........

My professor said we have three hours to answer 10 short answer questions and write a 2/3 paragraph essay, but that some people will probably finish in about an hour... so I should be fine, right?

I've learned that when a prof gives you 3 hours, and says that you'll only need an hour, you'll definitely need at LEAST 2 hours, if not the full 3 hours.

But in your case it probably won't take too long, it's only 10 short answer and a 2/3 paragraph essay lol. So maybe 2 hours?

And hi, tell me how I studied for 4 hours straight in the library and yet STILL managed to gather 31 posts for today?

Joanne, I'm pretty sure I have the same Psych textbook as you, only a different edition.

I'm getting to the point of being so desperate that I'm only reading the chapter's Learning Outcomes. Do you think that's sufficient?

I'm gonna beef up my understanding by doing some of the online MC quizzes too. whatever. I'm so gonna wing it. I'll do...okay.

I never thought that going to college would cause me to have the "as long as I pass it's fine" mentality, since I've never had it before, but I am TOTALLY having it.

I was going to offer your my notes, but I just looked over all the AP Psych stuff I saved on my computer... and it's all pretty useless. ><

I finished my online econ quiz with 5 minutes left to spare, like I do every week. I got 9/10.

I'm doing my Philosophy test tomorrow, which is the last available day to do it, and I could have done that test like a month ago. And I also plan to do my next Phil test sometime this week, and because I waited so long to do it, now I have reduced time. Excellent. I don't want to sit there thinking about parse trees or truth-functional statements anyway.

I didn't study for my OB test until maybe 3 days before the day of the exam, and I ended up getting 86. ^_^

My procrastination skills are amazing...

I woke up an hour and some odd minuets late, so I just stayed home and ignored the little voice in my head that screams YOUR GOING TO END UP TACKING 5 YEARS OF HIGH SCHOOL.

Meh whenever I have homework, I just think oh I'll do it later. Then at the last minute I half ass it and get a somewhat decent grade.

Shouldn't it be the other way around?

How do your credits work? I don't think they're the same as hours, are they? I had 17 hours, but I stopped stats so now I only have 13

no. it's just 2 or 4 credits to a class.

so, I'm taking 5 4-credit classes and a 2-credit class.

f**k. so the past 2 days, I've been waking up 10 minutes before my first classes. I think that's a sign. Not to mention that I have a midterm tomorrow morning.

No matter what I try to do, I can't seem to wake up in time for my accounting class. I have accounting on monday and wednesday mornings, and I have slept in for the past two weeks. Tuesday/thursday, I have no problem whatsoever waking up for. Oh well, kinda funny only going to 6 hours a week rofl and pulling all A's n B's.

Whoa, I just spent about half an hour looking at random places on Google Satellite instead of studying for my econ final tomorrow. =\

Turns out the grass on my yard is the yellowest in my neighbourhood, and there's a hugeass stain on the roof of my high school.

I'd like to bump this topic for the new term.

I have not done a single piece of homework for 2 straight weeks.

I need to read my Accounting textbook because I have a quiz tomorrow and yet I still haven't done so. Although I have taken Financial Accounting previously and have learned all this stuff already, I still really should be reading this so as to get a semi-decent good grade.

f*ck...only 3.5 months left until freedom...just have to work hard for 3.5 months...recite...repeat...and again...

sigh.

Ugh! I have my stats homework due wednesday and I don't even have the book ordered?
Also I might drop one class since I need stats as a background but I have made no effort as to see what other class I can replace it with.

Bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeehh I wish i was more motivated or not so lazy @_______@

I don't have any big assignments due or big tests coming up any time soon... but I found out that three of my four classes have fifty thousand important vocabulary words in each chapter. I didn't think I'd mind the psychology ones, but it just takes so long to copy out and memorize them!!!!!!!!

I actually think my favourite course so far this semester is microeconomics. ph34r.gif
