Why do people ask to be banned? I've never understood this. I've always felt that if you don't want to post here, just don't log on?

probably because they want to make a statement.
if they just don't log in, nobody notices that they're gone, but if they go "please ban me," you're forced to acknowledge that they won't post anymore. lol. i've asked for old usernames to be banned, but only because i wanted to collect the posts i made on them way back when. |

Ban = easy way to not come back :] If I asked to be banned, I'd always be tempted by proxies to piss people off :D

they wanna leave so people will think they are cool and not that into cb, even though...if you have to have yourself banned to stay away you are obviously way more into cb than the rest of us.
that's what i get from it anyway. i don't really understand. |

The people that ask to be banned imo are just losers. Who gives a f**k if you want to be banned? Just leave instead of making an album, music video, and getting a grammy and oscar for it.

I agree with melissa too, they probably just want to make a statement. I still dont get why people do that either, it seriously isnt that difficult to just not use it. I mean if i wanted to i probably could stay off for a week but i actually enjoy reading the forums on here. I guess another way to solve the problem is to block the site then from yourself.

I did it because I had trouble leaving this site for the amount of time I wanted to. I wanted the ability to use this site to be gone, so there would be no temptation to use it.
