Some of my tutorials that were ALREADY ACCEPTED have been "rejected". I got messages today saying that they had been rejected, and it's true, because they aren't showing up. And some of the tutorials that I had submitted and had been rejected were accepted, and are now showing up? =/ What's this all about?

It looks to me like some of the rejected ones are the same as the accepted ones. What might have happened, is that the same tutorial might have been submitted twice. (This happens a lot when someone gets a server error and then resubmits thinking the first time it failed.) There are a couple of yours that were rejected, but it looks as though those were rejected because there are already tutorials like that on the site. Were they accepted and then rejected by the same staff member?

The same staff member rejected them all, even ones that had already been accepted. That staff member is NOT the one who accepted/rejected ANY of my tutorials before. I messaged them and asked why they rejected all my tutorials, and they said they were just cleaning out the queued tutorials. Then today, I got a message saying that one of my tutorials that WAS rejected before had been accepted, by a different staff member then who had reviewed it before.

I have the same problem. =(
A couple of day's ago 4 of my already accepted tutorials were rejected so I messaged them about it.
They said they were cleaning out the spam & they would restore them when they were done.
But I looked at the tutorial submit page & there's only 4 quenced.
So there's no reason why my tutorials shouldn't be there. =(
Maybe they aren't done, I don't know?

There were over 5,000 spam tutorials in the queue, so we had to use a script to delete all of them. Unfortunately, those of you who submitted them mid-spam had yours deleted as well. The Design Staff started accepting tutorials at the end of the queue while we were figuring out what to do with all the spam ones. After we did that, more spam was added. To put it simply, the script used had to start at one number and end at another. If yours was in between there, it was rejected.

We could try to go back through and find yours, but you can't expect it to be done right away. Everyone on the staff has a life to attend to first. I would recommend just resubmitting any ones that are left rejected.

For future reference, if you see over a couple tutorials in the queue (5000, for example), don't submit any.

Gabi, I think Rebs made a post Backstage containing links to legit tutorials. I started to go through some but didn't finish going through all of them. Their tuts might be in there. shrug.gif

^Haven't seen that yet. I'll go look for it now.

Still, everything I said remains true other than the fact that it might be a little easier for us to find the ones that were caught in the spam deletion. shrug.gif
