What do you like/dislike about your school? Is there anything you wish you could change about it?

I,personally, don't like some of the teachers, and the fact that the principal is racist.

I like how the buildings are relatively close to one another at my college. So the furthest distance I would ever have to walk is actually not very far.
I dislike the people that go there. They're mostly just out of high school. Immature.

I like how laidback my professors are. It makes sense though, because they want to be there. I dislike how many people from my high school I see there.

-They dont turn the heat on in the winter
(It gets to about 20's regularly in the winter)
-They waste money on stupid things
-The principal doesnt know shit
-Some of the teachers suck badly

Thats all i have to complain about now

What i do like is how we have late starts and some fridays off.

That's good, and that's also something I like about my school. It's not far from where I live.

Freshman. I'll be one next year, but I'm pretty mature for my age. :]

My teachers are pretty laid back too. They let us slide with a lot. Possibly because it's our last year and they don't want to see us again. lol. :)

Like:
-I don't get as much homework as I did in junior high.
-They sell soft pretzels and Snapple for lunch.
-It smells like a school and not a hospital (unlike my old school).

Dislike:
-The water in the water fountains tastes like pennies.
-The majority of people are stuck-up and racist.
-No air conditioning.
-All my classes are on opposite floors and sides of the school.

I like how my school isn't far. The longest it took me to get to school was 20 minutes. I like how laid back it is. College & high school are different. I dk, I can't explain. I also like my professors; they're cool. I also like how I get to see some of my good high school friends there. Seeing hot guys doesn't hurt either. wink.gif

What I don't like about my school is that parking is sometimes a bitch. Also when people smoke (no offense to anyone who smokes). But sometimes I'm walking by & they let the smoke out almost in my face. I can't really think of anything so there you go. _smile.gif

i f'ckin hate my school
-the people are stuck up or frekain weird
-the location is on the top of this hill with only one way up and one way down.
-the conselors are not doin there jobs with the underclassmen, therefore when they become seniors like me they have to make up 8 million classes.
-its entirely made of cement. gray. gray. gray

There's something always wrong about my school. The school lunch sucks, so we're forced to take the risk and walk to a restaraunt around the school. The school is always falling apart and it just sends out a bad vibe. More teachers would be helpful.

I like how laid-back everything is and the people I see on a regular basis. I like my professors because they are funny.

What I don't like doesn't really have to do with the school and I could easily do something about it if I really tried. And it's just the fact that I have to get up early enough to catch the bus because it takes me about an hour to get to school.

I like how pretty everything is outdoors, yet covered! It's good because it's very rainy here.

I don't like how it's so dirty, though... but I guess that inevitable, since it's kinda old.

I like that my school gives me the quintissential high school experiences: dances, football games, etc. without making them the center of everything.
I also like the AP classes.

What I don't like is the fact that it is becoming easier and easier every year for students to enter AP classes.
I think that requirements for entry should be made tighter.

I'll talk about my old high school.

Like:
Really academically focused, so you were always surrounded by people who had similar goals as you, and therefore you were more motivated to do well. And it was cool to be involved.

Dislike:
Freakin' competitive at times. Counselors didn't know shit. Admin were especially bad - they were SO passive. Old building so it looked pretty shoddy.

Ick, I feel the same way. Here, you can smoke once you walk out the doors. Every day that I am on my way to school I pass people the stink of smoke. I don't have a problem when someone lights up a cigarette, but when you stink of it... ick.

Overly crowded.
It's always hot, sticky, and gross in the hallways.
Way too many African Americans, and way too many Asians.

I have pretty good teachers and I like them all, actually.

Some of the people in my classes are really stupid though..
Someone tried spelling academic. They were like "a..c..d..m..i..c?"
Wtf.

Otherwise, it's an okay school I guess.
Better than a lot of other ones, from what I've heard.

^Yeah, people smoke in front of my highschool all the time. And when I get out of school, like everyone hangs out at every corner smoking like crazy. It's disgusting. Right now, I'm sick too, so I can't help but over dramatically cough :T

My school is a non smoking environment. You can't smoke anywhere on campus, which is pretty cool.

Some of my friends have even started to smoke and I hate it when they're right there. There are also some non-smoking places around the campus, but people disregard it and smoke anyway. It gives me such a headache.

Likes:
- TEACHERS (some). They are REALLY fun and just seem so passionate about teaching and they, dare I say, make learning interesting.
- The way the schedule works. Most high schools have different class periods = longass classes. Us? Shorter classes. Forreal.
- A lot of people overachieve so it doesn't make me feel alone. Chyeah! :D
- The fact that we have majors and one of them is graphic design. Kapow.
- Small classes.

Dislikes:
- My Spanish teacher.
- The hall monitors. :S They're bitter.
- The fact that it takes about an hour to get home on the bus ride when if I could just drive home, it'd take roughly 20-25 mins.
- The fact that we share a bus with middle school kids (no offense). Magnet schools can be very lame sometimes.

Haha, there are signs everywhere at my school that say "SMOKING IS PROHIBITED NEAR ANY BUILDING" (or something like that)... and people still do it. Like, 2 feet away from an entrance.

I don't like the fact that my school has stairs, is super-crowded, and is 95% Asian (and therefore extreeeeeeeeeeemely academically competitive). I also hate the cafeteria food - they started selling pizza with whole wheat crust, and it's just blechh.

Most of the teachers are pretty cool, though (I think one of the math teachers used to be Bill Gates' lawyer), and even though I don't like how Asian my school is, it's easier to relate to others. Doesn't prepare me for the real world, though.

We have fat, old, ugly security guards that flirt with the slutty girls that thinks old men are awesome...

No offense to old men.

My math teacher sucks at teaching so the whole class is failing, together. I think we'll all end up in summer school together because of her.

The design of my university is pretty much all stairs. ALL stairs. The only exception is the route to the offices on the 5th/6th floor... and those elevators are TINY. There are also like 15 staircases for that, too.

Ouch. That sounds bad. I'm lucky my school's only two stories. But it's really annoying that some of the buildings aren't connected to each other via second-story walkways and you have to go down two flights of stairs and up two more to get from class to class.

I actually don't have any classes on the second story this year. I was wondering what I'd been missing out on these past five weeks.

My school sells pizza every single day. It's either pizza/deli, a salad, or a something like a hot dog or a hamburger. Which, of course, the meat is processed. Its horribly gross.

My High School was alright. It's the only public High School in my area. It was REALLY overcrowded for such a small building. But, it had college classes you could take you when you graduated you could be certified in a field of your choice, like cosmetology or nursing. That was the coolest thing it had going for it.
But, I went to the alternative school my senior year and it was SO boring. 3 hours a day of school online.

My geometry and chemistry teacher and governement student teacher kinda blow this year.
My geometry doesnt teach worth shit, when she does she teaches from the book which is a shit book so half the time im confused as hell.
My Chemistry teacher treats us like f**king pre-schoolers. I mean seriously everyon in that class is about 15 or 16 not 5 or 6.
My studen teacher for government just doesnt get it. I mean he gives us bad bad worksheets that no one can find in the books and when tests roll by literally everyone fails them. On one i got a 54%...ive never ever scored that low on a test before. Its ridiculous.

I'm fine with my school. There are soom teachers that are really bitchy, and make it obvious who they like, and who are their pets. There are some cool laid back ones, there are ones who don't know how to teach.

What I hate most is closed campus, we cant leave for lunch, but the schoool lunch is sucky and overpriced ($2.50 for a slice of pizza and like 8 oz of milk WTF) Thats why I bring my own. If we could go out to eat, I'd probably be going to arbys or McDonalds a lot, until Taco Bell is back in commission.

I dont like how small the campus is, and how everyone has to cramb in the labs.
I dont like most the students, its hard to take anyone serious.
I dont like how the girls dress like there going to a fashion show everyday.
I dont like how the teachers talk about there favorite show more than the assignment.
