Hmmm. Well, i don't necessarily think we are, but I guess it could be said that people are being overprescribed with medications they don't need. It's easier to solve problems with drugs than it is to deal with them in other way, such as ADHD, but it often does lead to other problems such as addiction as well.

What society isn't drug-dependent? If there's a drug that can enhance ability, increase pleasure, relieve pain, etc., of course people are going to take it. Of course, "drugs" change over time. I'm sure if you look back into the ages, you'll find that people were always dependent on other natural (or not-so-natural) "drugs" to give them a little boost.
I don't really see it as a necessarily bad thing. :shrugs: |

What kind of drugs are we talking? Because im thinking of stuff like Pot, acid, ect. So i will carry on for what i have to say
I think people are getting drug dependent because people are finding ways to get it easier now. It seems like theres this big group of students at my school who know each other. Im friends with about 2 or 3 with them, i dont really associate with them after school or anything, they are mainly just school friends, anyways one of them tells me how she does pot and got one of my other friends into it. Also i guess that one of her other friends brother is a drug dealer so i guess that explaines to how people can get it easier now. Also apparently theres been this hippie-mobile zooming around my town selling pot and stuff and i find it funny how none of the authorities have gotten suspicious with it yet even though a bunch of people know what it is. |
