Whoa whoa whoa. They are arresting you!?
that seems kinda crazy. Also to send you off to another state is even more crazy. I think all you should do is just give her some space.

I mean i dont know why the parents want to arrest you and i dont know if your girlfriend agree's or not about all of this but i think the best thing to do is to give her space and her family space.

because of the age difference we are like 3 years apart but its not like we have a sexual relationship. her parents are just very over protective but its only now after we've been talking for so long, that they decide to over react.

It's not really running away if your parents are sending you away and her parents want to arrest you (in that case, that's absconding). But I don't know how it is in your state, but in mine your case wouldn't count as statutory (also, as you said, your relationship isn't physical). In any case, I would recommend googling your state's stance on statutory relationships, and if your girlfriend's parents insist on having you arrested, make an official complaint with the police and get some legal advice.

Moving to another state is kind of drastic, don't you think? If you just stayed away from her, why can't you just stay where you are? And they can't arrest you if they don't have any actual proof of a sexual relationship or anything, but if they're that serious about doing it, they will probably try to find every single excuse they can to lock you up.

Maybe you should just see her less, or are you doing something to/with her that would make her parents uneasy? Also, you are not running away, especially since it's not your choice -- if it's that serious -- it's either that or go to jail. It's not like you have a choice.

If you guys didn't have sexual contact, then it isn't statutory rape. Figure out the laws for your state: http://www.sexlaws.org/answer_board

Wait how old are you and how old is your gf? If you're like 18, and she's 15..yeah you better leave the state asap. But you can never run away from Chris Hansen.

if he's never had sex with her, then there's nothing wrong with it.

So are you implying if a 30 year old guy went out with a 15 year old girl, but they never had sex, there's nothing wrong with that?

your profile tells us you're 17. They can't arrest you because you're not 18 yet. You're still considered a kid.

Eww, my friend is 15 and she's going out with a thirty-two year old. She's not my close friend, but I know her family so it's pretty weird.
It's super sick for him. Gross.

Anyway, yea like everyone else said, check out your state's laws against it. Seriously if they're going to arrest you and you haven't had sexual contact (and you're only 3 years older), then they don't really have a case against you.
