It's drowning me, seriously. I didn't mind it so much about a few years ago, but now it seems like I'm bombarded with Robbert Pattinson photos everywhere I turn.
I'm so freaking sick of it. The Harry Potter phase was much cooler. |

lol I said something in the Twilight movie thread about being burned out on the whole thing right now.
I like variety in life. Too much of one thing is just overwhelming. I've had to completely remove myself of anything Twilight related to avoid hating it. And so the suburban mom fell in love with Yamcha. ![]() |

It's definitely annoying now.
When the first book came out, it was intriguing. But then tons and tons of girls started talking about the characters as if they were real people. Like they did with Harry Potter, but worse. The book itself isn't that good anyway. I never bothered to read the other ones. |

Thank god this is the only part of the internet I visit where people seem to care. But it'd still be more endurable if Twilight were actually any good. /lit snob

Eh, I don't think it's bad. However, I will admit that at times it reads more like fanfic than an actual published "novel." I think in some ways Stephanie Meyer got lucky. There was sort of a void in young adult fiction and young girls are always eager for a new mysterious and gorgeous hunk du jour.
For me, Twilight is like the high calorie beverage you know you shouldn't drink but sometimes have an odd craving for. |

^^ LOL that's great!
And yeah, I went to Borders tonight and there was Twilight & The Host on display EVERYWHERE. I had to escape to the manga section. I was sick of Twilight the moment my friend mentioned sparkly vampires. |

apparently you don't bumper sticker on facebook ![]() My god. The bumper stickers on facebook are terrible. I remember when I didn't know a single other person who knew of the twilight books, and now it's everywhere. I actually loved the books, and now they just piss me off because I'm constantly reminded of them everyday no matter where I go!!! I can't even go into seattle's best to get coffee without walking through Borders seeing posters, tshirts, and entire book section dedicated to the series. |

'zactly! stephenie is no where near as good of a writer as rowling, but I admit I do like twilight better than HP. ![]() IMO, I think a lot of people are obsessed with twilight because it seems like it could actually happen. it's set in the real world, and it's about love and such, so it automatically connects with teens. |
