Breaking up a relationship..., is it possible? Options

When the girl (Abigail) I liked who has been my good friend for 6 years became single after 2 years in December, I was shocked and excited. I started hanging out with her on a weeky basis, and we became best friends. The problem was, everyone knew I liked another girl, and I wasn't sure if I still liked her. Therefore, I didn't feel free to go after Abigail.

Ok, another one of her good friends (Sam) like her. He pretty much stalked her everywhere in school, made it hard for me to talk to Abigail alone. He asked her out in Feb. and got rejected. Abigail came to me very sad, because she didn't want to hurt Sam's feelings. She told me how she dreaded talking to him on the phone for one hour every night to make him feel better. Like a little puss, Sam kept on crying and asking her out for 3 months. Finally, after going to prom together in May, somehow Sam got Abigail to agree to be boyfriend and girlfriend.

Sam beat me... and I feel like somehow I kind of lost a friend in Abigail. Ofcourse, I was jealous. Sam smiles to me in the hall like we are friends and rubs it in. I didn't see much of Abigail over the summer.

Recently, because Sam left on vacation, Abigail and I hung out some. It makes me feel good that we are still best friends, and we share lots of things together. However, I never go towards asking about their relationship, because I don't want to seem jealous. Two nights ago, after dinner with Abigail, when I dropped her off, we hugged for two minutes. Driving home, the warmth made me feel like I needed her and "reignited my flame". So therefore, I have decided I must try.

Finally, the evil question...
Is there any way to make two people break up?
I could play mind games and mess with Sam's head.
Any ideas or previous experiences?
I just can't wait for this relationship to end, because my patience is gone... I like Abigail and I hate Sam.

Tell her how you feel. Plus, if Abigail really likes him, you would just be hurting her, the person who you like, in the long run if you try to getthem to break up.

I'd tell Abigail how you really feel, I mean it seems like she trusts you and likes talking to you, so just take a big step and let her know how you feel.

I wouldn't try mind games and such to try breaking them up, because if one day after they do break up and you guys may get together and she finds out thats how they broke up, you would be in a big hole, that you dug for yourself a long time ago.

hmmm.....so you didn't know if you liked abigail in the beginning cuz u may have had feelings for another girl but you didn't say anything so she dated some other guy instead cuz u didn't rise to the occasion in the beginning.

O MI GOD!!!! i was in a similar situation... except i'm in abigail's shoes.

I was hanging out with my friend Mike for a long time and we became best friends and I started liking him. We went out to dinner all the time, talked on the phone for hours before we went to bed, he would pay for everything, I went with him to get his first tattoo, acting like boyfriend/girlfriend almost.. But at the same time I was talking to another guy (my current boyfriend actually, but he wasn't a stalker he was actually pretty cool lol) and I told Mike about how I gave Andrew a drunken phone call confessing my love to him.i was obviously intoxicated and confused at the same time cuz I liked both of them. That probably gave him less confidence to tell me if he liked me or not but yea i was very confused. One day I would like Andrew more the next mike. lol After that it was so different between Mike and me. But after i told him about the phone call my friend asked if Mike liked me in that way and he denied it so I started dating Andrew. Right after that Mike asked his girlfriend out and they've been dating ever since. We're still friends but it's been really strange lately. He's been texting me the sweetest things like, 'your gorgeous, Andrew is the luckiest guy in the world, i miss you so much, i love you don't worry, etc', He'd always ask how me and Andrew are doing and telling me random problems with his girlfriend.

I don't know if he's bein sweet or just being weird. But I swear he still likes me(if he ever did have any feelings before that anyways. that's always gna be a mystery to me). And all my friends I say that to agrees with me. And it's hard cause i love my boyfriend to death but there's always that, what if? I know Mike would have been a great boyfriend but ahhh idk he's so confusing and sometimes indecisive.

lol so yea i kinda know what abigail is going through. You have to man up and tell her everything from the getgo and see where she wants to go from there. It's a tough spot for her but when it comes down to it, it's how she feels and who she wants to be with. Don't try to break them up by playing mind games cause thats not fair to Sam. He has feelings for this girl and you have to respect that she's his girlfriend. Just say how you feel, you never know what will happen.

I dont think anything is gonna happen in my situation cause he's still with his girlfriend and i'm in love with my boyfriend. If Mike were to ask me out or tell me his feelings now I would have to deny him, it's to late for what could of been with him at this point...

never make people break up. it's so bitchy. tell abigail how you feel, and she would think about it. you cant force it. and if she decides to choose you, then she would break it off with sam under good terms, not because some jerk played mind games.
