virus & .mp3 files, virus

i recently had a virus or something like it and got rid of it...
but can they affect .mp3 files/songs i just opened iTunes and all songs are messed up.. kinda noisy, squirrel ish voices like when you fast forward the voice and sounds like squirrel ish.... lol but the time is not going fast it's normal..... i just downloaded a song off the internet and added it to iTunes and it's the only one that sounds good

someone out ther know?!?!

Thats really weird. This is going to sound petty but have you ran a virus scan?

Viruses can effect any file on your computer including media files such as mp3's. I haven't heard of any that will speed them up most just make them unplayable. Try opening them in a different program and see if there still messed up. If they are your going to have to download them all again.

First I would try running a anti-virus programs like Avast and SpyBot just to make sure everything thats infecting your computer is gone.

haha i played some songs on Windows Media Player and they worked it must be iTunes

i'll run a virus & spyware scan, "i'll be back" lol

^^Too late i rebooted my computer lol
i had problems with the desktop backround, screensaver and when shuting down the pc!!!
so i just gave up

haha. i used to use limewire &i got HUNDREDS of viruses. no exaggeration. lmfao. so now im scared as hell to use it again. so, i figured out this way to download music, but like safely. lmfao

anyone know of any good virus protection software stuff, that can protect me?

i use Spyware Terminator & WinClam(something like that) is a virus scaner that goes with Spyware Terminator

but i always have it off so that's why i get the virus lol

  • Spyware spies on you and tries to find out information like passwords.
  • Adware is just software with advertisements
  • Virus is the general term when talking about adware spyware and other malware

I've never used spyware doctor but my friend does and it works ok for him. I like to use Avast and Spybot S&D instead.
