Why all the J-Rock layouts?, Anyone else annoyed with the masses of them? Options

I swear every time I see the front page, there's a new layout featuring some unpronounceable Korean or Japanese band. I have nothing against them, but what's the deal? I mean, does anyone actually understand what they're saying (other than people that speak the language, obviously)? This reminds me of this Xanga post I read about Wapanese weirdos (anyone not Japanese that thinks watching anime and saying 'kawaii' or 'desu' too many times qualifies them as Japanese), and every time I see a new layout it just make me laugh. Seriously, people? Give it a rest already... =_= That goes for all the Twilighters out there, too. Nothing against the books that I'd like to discuss here (yes I've read them), but there are so many Twilight layouts I'm about to puke. Have some creativity! Get new ideas! I'm sure the Admins would appreciate not having to look at the same faces a million times.

Wow sorry, that kind of turned into a rant.

At any rate, anyone else find this stupid Wapanese trend going a bit too far?

J-rock is music. People like music. People like to make layouts of their favorite bands. It's really not a big deal; if you don't like the layouts people are submitting, then don't look at them. And I haven't really noticed any Wapanese people on here...a lot of emo, but not japanese wannabes.

I agree... also maybe because there are a few users that make it their specialty to make asian themed layouts, and thats what their good at. X]

Hm. Well, what about all the Fall Out Boy layouts? Or the "Scene" layouts? Hmmm? Is anyone else tired of those trends?






Trends come and go. Just...skip the layouts and check some others out.

It doesn't bug me... people like those bands/books, so they make layouts based on them. What, you'd rather them make layouts on something they have absolutely no interest in? That's great.

I do make my own layouts, I was just wondering what's with all the J-Rock. I know it's music yaddah blah, but that can't be all someone listens to! >.< Like, I like to make music layouts, but there are other themes to work with, and I do work with them. I've done a couple dance layouts, nature based, urban stuff.... Maybe I just like variety more than some. *shrug*

I do agree that there are lots of japanese themed layouts ranging from bands to anime, and a moderate amount of Korean layouts but the bottom line is, that why people might be coming to createblog? also I think that there are still more "regualar" layouts then asian layouts but you have to also understand that Asian entertainment is getting bigger these days :]

then i don't see what the problem is. you make layouts you like to make and they make layouts they like to make. i don't really think telling people to "get some creativity" just because you personally are sick of them is gonna matter to whoever is making them.

every time i click on one, there are comments on it. apparently people are using them. so then, i guess that's whats' up with people making them...because people use them.

anyway, i'm not one of the people annoyed with the masses of them i suppose.
