Patience, dear. We're going to incorporate the mod guidelines into the Community Guidelines somehow, so that people have an idea of how things get moderated. Some of the technical stuff (like which buttons to use, etc) aren't necessary. Don't worry, this isn't being ignored or overlooked. =)

Patience Arjuna. Plus, a few of the things are really outdated. :/ It should be done by the end of next week.
Ninja, I been waitin' for 5 days. It doesn't take 5 days to copy and paste something. Honestly I just want the Moderator Guidelines as is, the same way they are Backstage, available for view to everybody.

There's still outdated stuff in there? You guys aren't even keeping up with your own Moderator Guidelines, no wonder.

End of next week? Wtf. You mods work so s...l...o...w...

They will be another for us to edit when they change. I wouldn't say that they are outdated, but they are in need of some tweaking. It'll be done before the end of next week. Damn, Thomas, we aren't THAT slow.

Yeah, part of this is to do with the fact that we're making a few changes to the guidelines, as has been said. There's no point in us copying and pasting them now if they;re going to be outdated in a couple of days.

Plus, there are several discussions going on right now that we're asking people to weigh into, and frankly your nostalgia is not top priority.

Yeah, but a lot of stuff isn't applicable, and like Rebecca said, we're going to try and incorporate in the community guidelines. Patience Arjuna. Plus, a few of the things are really outdated. :/ It should be done by the end of next week.

Not applicable eh? Funny, people say the same thing about the Bill of Rights.

I think what he meant is that things like a practicle guide to the way the queue works aren't especially relevant if you don't actually have to use the queue.

Ha ha, it's not that it's a priority, it's that it shouldn't take a week to pull this off and that you mods still work slow.

Actually, maybe the designers wouldn't mind, like in the case that they wonder why the heck it's taking a week for their graphic to be submitted, or something.

I would still rather have a c+p, but I guess you guys would have already forgotten about the mod guidelines and never would have updated them if I never brought them up.

There are already guidelines posted publicly as to what the design staff look for when reviewing submissions to which designers can refer. As far as why it may take longer for their submissions to be accepted/rejected, it's usually because there are just a lot of things in the queue, which is pretty much just common sense.

Or, it could be because some people think it's funny to submit over 2,500 joke tutorials for some unknown reason. stubborn.gif hammer.gif

Ha ha, I meant that it's so the designers can see what the Design Staff have to go through. Anyway, that's not the point. The point is that I'd like to see the Moderator Guidelines raw.

LOL, what? When was this?

During the PokeSpamfest. It was tedious, and took absolutely f**king hours to deal with, because as yet there is still no mass reject feature, and all of them had to be dealt with one by one.

Apparently, that's funny. Not sure why, because it must have took aaaaaaaages to do, for relatively little satisfaction, but whatever.

lol, thousands... I don't remember anything like that back when I was a mod.

Reminds me, you guys kind of look short on Design Staff. I mean I honestly don't know how big the queue gets these days, but I remember having a whole lot more Design Staff in the past. But hey, maybe RC contributions are running short too, eh, which would be a dang shame.

But there isn't really a dire need for more design staff.
Why do you guys always have to wait when things get really bad? Things are already in a downhill, you might as well prevent them from getting worse.

I don't think we do especially need more design staff, as it hapens... Especially since we've taken on Gabi. Who is doing a stand up job, by the way.

*shrug* lol, well alright. Like I said, I honestly don't know all that much about how things are going on the RC side of cB.
QUOTE(kreios @ Aug 10 2008, 08:19 PM) *
when the design oriented part of staff becomes more active on staff, it'll be fine.
Inactive staff is a no-no.

You sho' can't say the same thing about the CC side of cB, though.

Yeah... I think at the moment it's more just a question of overlapping vacations at the moment, rather than 'real' inactivity. Which is unfortunate, I suppose, but we're coping.
