I had self drawn vans.
I did one shoe with sharpies and one shoe with fabric pens. the fabric pens stayed better. :] too bad i grew out of them within months. -__- |

Hmm...I actually found this really rad jean backpack from a thrift store.
So maybe you should go thrifting. And, about decorating it...well it's kinda slow but I'm collecting neat pins and stuff to stick on it:) And if I feel like it, I might do some art work with like sharpies or something... Hmm yeah. I'm also thinking sewing, patches, etc. But that's just me:) hah, hope this helps.... |

Sharpies fade easily, it wouldn't last much longer after it got wet. At michaels or a local craft store (i believe walmart has them too) there are these things called paint pens. They are genius.
