So, I'm writing this movie, and -- this is a really dumb question -- you know how in every movie and book, the butler always calls their master, "Master" or "Master lastnamehere"?
Does anyone know if they actually do that in real life? The movie takes place nowadays. I know that in movies and books, that's how it goes, but I don't want to included if it's not true. It seems so overused, I don't know. It's practically an insignifigant detail, but I strive on insignifigant details, haha. Any help? |

doesn't Sir suffice? master might be a bit overboard if we're talking about current times, btw is the location fictional? if it's not then the location could have a certain degree of impact as well possibly?

For a recent movie, I'd go with 'Sir' as suggested by Doink. But then again, it depends on the location. More info would be nice.

Yeah, I think it's "sir", unless you're making another Batman sequel with "Master Bruce" in it.
