My name is Aubree, but I really don't mind what you call me, as long as it isn't too...odd. I just registered a few days ago, but I've been reading the forums for a while. I'm from the mid-west of the USA, but completely hate it and cannot wait until I can move out of the country.
I'm trying very hard to learn Swedish with the help of a few friends, but I haven't managed to get the hang of anything more than basic phrases, such as:
Hej. Vad heter du? Mit namn är Aubree.
(Hello. What is your name? My name is Aubree.)

So, anyways, hello. I'm glad to be here. :]

Thank you, Mike. It's pretty complicated, but I might just think that because of the extra letters (ä, ö, å).

Latin sounds really hard, especially since not many people are around to speak it with. Good luck with learning it :]
And I live in the state (Michigan) around the middle of the US on a map that's surrounded by lakes..and Canada!

Whoa...! I had a biology teacher who could speak Swedish. I only learned a few words but its pretty much similar to english, which I found interesting.

Some of the words are similar, like..err, well I can't think of any right now, but some of them sound alike and mean the same thing! Like (the Swedish word) dig and (the English word) day. :]
