That's 'cause you have mod powers.

For real though, I thought even Official Members had the ability to delete their own posts.

What?! OM's can delete posts? No way! I thought only mods could, and even though they CAN, they're not supposed to.

No, we can't. It was brought up plenty of times, but never granted.

I'm pretty positive you used to be able to. In any case, you can now.

Also, sorry it took so long. I locked myself out of my account.

Heh, now that I think of it, I think we weren't given permission to delete posts so that we couldn't delete "evidence."

Wow if this becomes a problem, then I might have an idea of why it was disabled to begin with...

^x2 EXACTLY.

Actually it was more of a problem for the mods to be able to do it in case they abused their power. But if we delete our posts, can't the mods just find them again?

Weird. I always thought you guys could delete your posts, too. But I guess I can see why you couldn't. I don't think it'll be any issue letting people delete their posts.

^ Try looking through it? I just deleted a post that said exactly this:

Yeah I don't really care if the OMs delete their posts, as long as the mods can keep tabs on it. I usually just get more pissed off when the mods delete things in an unjustified manner (this rarely happens though).

EDIT// Shit, whenever I try to edit my post, I always click "Delete".

Can I just also take the time to say that I LOVE how I have no more flood control anymore. IT IS AWESOME. So much better than being able to delete posts.

Now, only if I could search for things with 3 or less characters...

Since Dani never came back, when you become a admin there is a trashcan that you see. Everything that is deleted is sent to there.

So if you delete your posts and they see something against the rules in it, they can warn you still wink.gif I don't really think OM should be able to delete their posts, editing them is enough.

I think you guys are just use to when you were on staff and you could delete your posts if needed.
