biography Options

I thought this would belong here, since I'm aiming this question more at designers than writers.
anyways...
how should you write a biography for your website? I have no clue how long it should be, what it should contain, etc...
the one I currently have is more of a book. i want to be able to include my personality and things I like and such, but keep it professional too, while also containing information about web design.
one thing I really really could use tips on is the web design part. I don't know if I should put, like, the things I do/like to do (although that's kind of the point of a portfolio, IMO) and such, or if I should write my "journey"...which is currently about two pages long.
ALSO. last thing, I promise. suggestions on how to improve the "look" of a biography would also be appreciated...so it's not just the text (although I do have one image).
