well i've got the whole image map and stuff working on my xanga, but when i tried positioning it with the div code, it turned out fine on my computer, then after that, i found out that it was different for everybody else's resolutions. my resolution by the way is 1024 by 768. anyway, i've tried many different div codes too. the only two objects i need to get positioned is my blog body and my links.

here is the first code i used[for my blogbody]:

CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<div style="left=130; top=136; position=absolute;">

<div id="blog" style="width:359; height:430;  BACKGROUND:#ColorNumber; overflow:auto; FILTER: chroma(color=) allowTransparency(opacity=80);">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

here is the second code i used[blogbody]:
CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->

<div style="padding-left: 10px;
padding-right: 400px; margin-top:200; position:relative">
<TD WIDTH="100%" VALIGN="center"><ilayer name="box"><div id="box2" style="width:359px; height:430px; overflow:auto">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

and here is the third [blogbody]:
CODE
<!-- begin code provided by createblog.com -->
<div align=left>
<DIV style="margin-top: -47px; margin-left:
120px; width: 359px;OVERFLOW: auto;
height:430px; BACKGROUND-COLOR: transparent">
<!-- end code provided by createblog.com -->

and another thing, when i previewed these codes, they looked fine on the preview, but once i saved and looked at it, the blog body went totally unaligned again. i'm pretty sure if someone can give me the correct code for the blog body, i could use that code to make my image with links on it align as well. please help!!! sad.gif

oh and btw, my xanga is here

Someone made a thread very similiar to this the other day. Mystical, one of the Code Staff members said this:
QUOTE
No layout will prefectly display at everyones's resolution unless you make a layout for every single popular resolution which seems to be 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024.

When make your layout make it @ 1024 x 768 which is very common to many internet users.

Wait do you want a DIV layer? As in, you want your blog in an exact place? blink.gif Wait, why is this here, anyways?

if you want to use div layering the layout has to be aligned to the left. if you use div layering to align your layout to the center, it will look really jacked up on other resolutions.

Yeah, it seems you already have some sort of DIV layering going on there. You just have to mess around with it and whatnot. Hmm...there are tutorials in Webdesign if you need help.
