Alright, so I'm going to be a junior next year and since I'm planning on going into the medical field, I figured I'll take all the AP and college classes I can in High School to save me time and money in college. I'm only scared that I'm going to be overloading myself with too many classes and too much work. Here's a run down of my schedule next year:
(No order) 1. Basic Writing (College Class) 2. Double period AP biology 3. Double period AP biology 4. AP US History 5. Math B 6. Advanced Latin 7. Gymnastics 8. Cooking 9. Concert Choir 10. Lunch What do you guys think? Will I blow my top? Did I do the right thing by signing up for a class that starts 7 in the morning and getting out at 3:30? ![]() |

^ The calculus course is often offered for seniors.. it could be different for her school though.
I don't think it's a good idea to have lunch near the end of the school day. Unless you have snacks, it should be fine. Your course load is very demanding, just make sure you can cope with all the AP anxiety, and you should be okay. You're lucky you have so much offered. My school is very limited, but still very rigorous. |

Anyone should be able to take calculus, as long as they finish the pre-reqs for it (i.e. trig, pre-calc, or complete a calculus readiness test to skip to calculus). It does help though.
AND WTF that's a lot of classes! You should take AP Bio now, and take AP Chem senior year. |

I think your schedule looks fine o_O it looks just like my sophomore year class schedule. Oh how I hated Biology >_> The college class I doubt will be that hard, the only thing I can imagine that could be a bit of work is just with the two AP classes and the work load that just comes with one and doubling it. I think you can deal with it though.
Oh also if that whole list is in one day, I'd break it up. Like AP class, then something fun like gymnastics, then another AP class. Breaking it up is a good way to do it, and have you ever taken Biology before the AP class? Or do you have a lot of knowledge in it already. I know I didn't >_> and I got stuck in a supposed honors biology class with a guy that was a AP Biology class so we got stuck with the same exact work as them. I passed the class with a B but I mean still it kicked my ass. |

I don't understand why you have so many classes, but it only looks like you have two AP classes? So no, Is definitely wouldn't say it's overloaded. If you have time to take a cooking class...

I'm surprised there's only two AP classes. I took 4 my junior year... But then again, I was only able to fit 6 classes into my schedule. D: |

I can't take calculus just yet because I still need to finish my Math B term.

Not only is that untrue, she's still only going to be a junior in high school, so it's also fairly irrelevant.

No its not, she asked about taking AP and college classes and I was simply suggesting that she can drop choir to take a class more geared to her professional goals. Assuming that she has afterschool activities and does volunteer work, she doesnt need music to get into college ither.
And why does it matter if she is a junior still? |
