I've bought a few from Sally's for fun and they work alright, I guess. If you want easy ones, buy the full lash set, get scissors, and cut them to the shape you want (I usually like them longer on the outside). If you want ones that look a bit more realistic but are a complete bitch to apply - buy the individual lash sets. I'd make sure you have a friend with you to help, because it's a bit tricky at first.

Make sure you have baby oil to remove the adhesive (I didn't and ended up pulling some lashes out - bad idea). Also, make sure that you get clear adhesive (most adhesive comes with the lash set, but most of the time, they're a gross, black color - so make sure to check), because otherwise, it'll look like you have black gunk all over your lashes.

Fake lashes are fun when you're with the girls or you're going out, but I wouldn't recommend them for daily use. Have fun.

Sephora has some good ones that are pretty cheap.
