well tbh, i really don't like them. mellow.gif
well mainly because you used photoshop & it looks fake.
i know that was the point but when it comes to photography, i feel that natural is always the best. i only use photoshop on my photography if i need to adjust the brightness or contrast.
however i do like the first picture because it focuses on the face & it's not dead center but off to the right a little.

but good job so far on your PS skills! flowers.gif

Like Tiffany said, try to make your edits look more natural and realistic next time. Don't make the eye color change so obvious. Same goes for the tattoos next to your eyes. Make the colors more subtle.

Agree.

But I have to admit, I think that the "tattoos" look pretty in a weird kind of way. _smile.gif

I think one of the problems is that the original photos don't have the same vibrance as the photoshopped parts. I think that if you brought out the colors of the original photo (duplicate layer >> gaussian blur >> softlight or something) the tattoo things would look a lot better and less fake.

The tattoo on the bottom photo has the right perspective, but it looks more like it's floating than on her skin.

I love the tattoo designs, though. :] So pretty.

It's not SUPPOSED to look realistic in any way shape or form.
That's not what I was aiming for.

Okay, well, we didn't know that. We didn't mean to offend you. Most advice given in the Showcase Booth is meant to be constructive. When you post a topic here, you're acknowledging that you know others may constructively criticize your work. sweating.gif

I thought it was pretty obvious that they weren't supposed to be realistic, which is why I didn't understand why everyone was telling you not to photoshop them and to make it look more natural.

I really liked the effect you went for. The only major problem I have is the eyes. The centers look really messy - maybe you can fade out the effect more towards the pupil. Oh, and the mascara's really clumpy. I know it's just the makeup job, but you should try editing it to be smoother.

Looks indeed fake, but I couldn't make it :| Did you use a lot of layers or what?
