soo like i need help cause ive never really gotten my nails done. what the difference between like tips and acrylics, or like whats UV gel, crystal tips. eek i have no clue and prom is coming up soon! LOL thumbsup.gif

gels look more natural but they aren't as durable as acrylics and they are more expensive. acrylics are more durable but they are a bitch on your nails if you have them daily. tips are acrylic nails with the white french manicure tip already on it. crystal tips are basically nails with a crystal gem/jewel, whatever. if your getting it done as one time thing, i'd get acrylics because they are easy to remove.

The person above me pretty much said it all.

I had my nails done once, and they were gel nails and apparently I was allergic to something that was in them, because my fingers were red and irritated and broke open and bled around the nail and I had to go back a few days later and get them removed because the pain was something else. So deffinately make sure that you don't have an allergies.

some people's nails are like that. I see a lot of them when i work. Mostly you're just allergic to the primer. The trick is not to get that on your skin.

or it could be your nail technician did a shit job.
