so yeah, my very best friend is also my boyfriend's best friend as well.
and lately, they've been hanging out together and it's nice to see them to. i don't get jealous, but i just wonder sometimes... like he doesn't laugh that way with me like he does to her. and i always wonder..'what if he ever leaves me for her?' =( or i never have that much fun with him like they do. =( i know, i'm being very pessimistic. =( but whenever i'm with the two of them, sometimes i feel left out when they're talking or joking around...i really do. It's like sometimes i feel isolated from them. he's a great guy, like even when i'm with them he always checks with me and asks me everytime, "are you okay?" or give a little shrug or notice that he knows i'm there =) i never told anyone or them my feeling. but yeah, of course best friends spend times together too, i definitely understand. they're like brother and sister best friends and i definitely have no probelm with that. before dating him he was kinda like that to me too (we were friends since freshmen year - now sophmores) yeah, but i don't know..i just think and feel like this sometimes... any advice??? |

Since you guys are best friends, all three of you I think its just all in your mind.
i just say just have a mature conversation with him. Tell him whats up, even if this is something small, it can be become something really complicated later on. He might get mad that you're thinking like that but as long as you get your question answered you won't think like that anymore right? goodl luck! |

I think you need to talk to your boyfriend about it. Even if there's nothing going on, it's not right for you to be feeling this down and uncomfortable about it. They're your two closest friends, so they have to understand how you feel.

Yea, I agree with the two that said you should talk to them both about it; I'd talk to the boyfriend first if not both of them together. Whenever you feel something you should let the people/person it involves know so you can at least get the answers you need & be happy...paranoid or not, talk about it...friends can be triflin & so can boyfriends so can never be too sure

^ I agree talk to BOTH your best friend and boyfriend. If you only talk to one, the other might feel awkward or out of the loop = hurt.
The thing about doubt is that the more you nurture it and think about it, the bigger it grows. You're not going to get over it any time soon because that see of doubt is already there. It's only going to get worse because you're nitpicking at every thing they do. You're going to turn something into nothing by doing that. no, i'm sorry. that wasn't comforting..=( but...i think we'll work it out. lately, i've been more open with him. and he can see that somethings wrong, but i'm just not telling him (he says i've been looking down lately) but i'll tell him soon enough, i think tomorrow. we'll work it out somehow. i know he isn't like that. at least i hope so. wish me luck. |
