I thought it started last fall in Paris because of Balenciaga.

Anyways, I like the trend, but I find scarves very distracting. ermm.gif

keffiyahs/shemaghs.

They're generally known as mufflers in the UK and in Asia. In Asia, this trend started way over a year ago. I picked up on it late. sad.gif

I knew about this trend a while now, but I was browsing the Urban Outfitters online store, and noticed they had the nice purple scarf, so I ordered it. I mean it was only $18.99 haha so why not. I'm not going to be an addict though. Plus, I don't think it's really for warmth as more of style.

I've never really gotten into the whole fringe scarf thing, but my guy friend had one, and I tried to wear it, and he laughed at me. Apparently there's a technique LOL.

To me, they're a 'scenester's accessory but I still really want one.

I think they can look really good on certain people, but look like something went horribly wrong on others.

Take me for example: When I put one on, it ends up looking like a bunch of shredded newspapers. =\

ah totally saw the trend going on at the mall a month ago. hollister mannequins with barely any fabric on the bodies, and a...SCARF. new way of accessorizing (is that even a word?) I suppose. I might try one on someday to see if I can pull it off, although I have a feeling that it'll just make me look incredibly short.
