Real quick, about the nav bar... Options

I am getting back into html/css after a two year hiatus, basically.

i've just begun re-doing a friend's myspace.

the little separators that are white wont go away, and i forgot how to make them go away/change color.

i put a banner underneath the nav bar, so any code that i do know (or can think of) to take away nav stuff also deletes the banner underneath.

anyways, a little reminder would be great!
