i made it out of wire and aluminum flashing. it could have been better. it was my first time working with wire though, so it was a learning experience. i like the birds, i'm going to make more of them and use them somehow.

AW JC this is hecka cool, I love the birds/baygulls and the concept.

great job for your first time working with those materials too! LOL did your hands get hella dirty from working with the wires?

anyways, if you were ever gonna do this again I'd just suggest that you could make some of the tops of your buildings slant to the left instead? or make waves under the bridge or something

flowers.gif

btw, where are you gonna hang that

baygulls for sure cool.gif

my hands were really dirty from working with it, plus i got about 39392929299 cuts from the aluminum.

i think i'll probably do more on my free time this summer. i have some better ideas and there is a lot i would change about this one too. i agree about the building tops.

i'm not sure where i'll hang it yet.

Dude, I made a glass fusion piece a while ago and yours reminded me of mine. It was a tile, and I made city buildings in the background with a bubbly taxi in the front, and "I love NY" at the top right, all out of glass. Except yours is better than mine.

I'd pay for that. Looks neat :) How long does making a bird take you?

it took me like 15 minutes a bird probably. i drew out a bird shape and cut it out of the aluminum, then bent the wings to shape i wanted. aluminum flashing is pretty fun stuff to work with.

you should make the new birds smaller so that it gives it perspective. Pretty sweet dude. I thought it was a f**king gay ass photoshop image at first. That's what it looks like from the small image. Very nice.

yeah i was thinking how the birds were huge in comparison to the buildings. i was considering changing them but then i figured that it wasn't all that realistic anyway since i slanted buildings. if i do something else like this im going to make sure i think out the proportion better though.
