I HAVE A PARROT, and its a stray..i think Options

So, our window was open (but not the net) and then i saw this really pretty bird. We have them coming by our apartment all the time for some reason.So i saw the bird, and it was really pretty. It was blue and green and tiny. Then i told my mom to come and see.

She HAD to open the window and grab it. gosh. it started to chirp like crazy and i felt bad it had to meet my moms gimongo hands compared to how puny it was.
And then she put it in a bowl and covered the bowl with this other bowl (that has holes on it).

I brought it some ritz and rice but didnt eat. then my mom ran to target to buy a cage and some food that it might it.

i think its a parrot..because its blue and green =P.

my mom still at target and i feel so bad for the bird because it looks so scared..

so how do i take care of it?
has an animal jsut come to you and you kept it as a pet?

o.O poor bird. I find it sad that a bird has wings for the freedom of flying but then they're kept in cages :(

There's many types of birds that are that color... you'd have to do some investigation in term of what type of bird it is... I think they like lettuce and bird feed or seeds in general..
