Wow, those look awesome!

The shadow on the left cherry kinda bothers me, though... it doesn't look right.

It's pretty good. I can't really assess your skill if I've seen nothing else from you. However, it looks pretty 2D. I think you were going for as realistic as you can, so doing more shadows to give the cherries depth would have made this better.

The dark shadow bothers me, as well. It's sharp, and it would be better being blended in more. The other thing that bothers me is that the cherry in the front has blurred outer lines. There's no real clear end to the cherry, and it throws me off.

The shadows you have now are decent, but the cherry in the background looks as if it has a bruise. You know, like it's been injured, and now it has a blood clot. I would soften and perhaps expand that red part. I would even choose a lighter color. You did well with the cherry in front; more work should be done in the background cherry.

I think it's beautiful. How long did it take? At one time I wanted to attempt one than I saw a 200 step tutorial and went screaming for the hills.

I think this is great for your first try, and I don't think the first cherry's shadow looks that weird. It would look more natural if you fixed it, though. And like Whitney said, define the second cherry's outline more. Then it will be perfect. :D

I should you should have done RED cherries with PINK highlight instead of your pink cherries with red highlight.
