I'm asking two questions, might as well kill two birds with one stone.

I'm using Macromedia Flash MX Professional 2004

So, links part first, I'm trying to insert a link. So I want to make some text a link and I followed a tutorial but there is NO BUTTON IN THE PROPERTIES PANEL TO MAKE A BUTTON. Grrr. The text I want to become a link is in a text box, obviously.

Another question! So, I got this one song inserted for my website and I have NO clue how I did it. It only plays when it's at the VERY bottom of the list in the library. That's the only way it works too for me, for some odd reason. I've tried replacing the sound loop and I had no luck and somehow it works now from being at the bottom of the list?

That's the best I can explain it, sorry. Would it be better if I provided my flash file?

for your link, you'll have to treat it as a button. type the text where you want it to be. click on the rectangle tool and make a rect around the text. click on the rectangle you made, and click F8(convert to button). double click on the button and move the slider to down. what type of actionscript are you using? 1.0, 2.0 or 3? as for the music, i haven't had a chance to play with it yet but you might want to find an AS for it so that it'll work for you. my suggestion, check out actionscript.org. they have tutorials, AS code and a forum. hope that helps.

*Looks at you cross-eyed* What type of actionscript? o_O? Sorry I'm bit of a beginner. Only have been using it for [all added up] about 3 weeks? O_O

I'm going somewhere with this link thing! I'm getting somewhere! xD

Well, I get stuck at the action part. I'm following this tutorial: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/hyperlink.htm and used Ctrl-F8 to convert to button but I can't seem to get anywhere from that. When I convert it to symbol it's all... BLAH. There's no text I can see when I double click "Symbol 1" to go and edit the button. -__-

Oh gosh. I was busy, sorry. I know how to do the music thing now! (: You need to convert the mp3 to a wav file and right click the sound loop, press properties, then press update and insert the wav file. :D!

So, here it is. I'm in major need of help right now! If you open up the library and look in the folder "Edit_Images_Add-Remove".. it's messed up. Every picture is of ONE of my photos and they don't move on! ):

That's the only help I need as of now! Thanks for all you can help me with.

EDIT

I fixed my problem! So I can gladly say that I won't be needing this thread. :D *Clap* I'm so excited. Just used basic trial and error and SUCCEEDED! (:

Even though I don't know how to do the link thing yet, I'll try to find out. :D
