Anyone ever modded their videogame system? I'm about to mod my Xbox. I'm also getting software to save PS2 games to the harddrive. This is all for legal purposes, of course. biggrin.gif

It has an Xecutor 2.2 Pro Modchip,
Maxtor 120 GB 7200 HD,
Samsung 616t DVD/DVD-R/CD-R reader.
And everything you see on the outside :-D!

The mod chip for Xbox is quite tubular. Can run Linux OS on it. "Hacking" the Xbox has become quite popular these days and actually modifying your system, I don't think is really legal. Your warranty = no more, so if you plan on busting your console anytime soon I suggest you don't proceed with your plans. However, there's A LOT you can do with a Xbox if you "hack" it. But if you play Xbox live with that modchip they can possibly ban you. So watch for that also. Ummm...no "hackers" have been sued by Xbox but a person who has been selling modchips on the internet with soddering directions has been: 5 months in the pen, $28,000 fine.

I had two attempts on modifying my Playstation 2. The first attempt was just gay so the PS2 was ruined and I had no other choice but to throw it away.

Then I bought a new PS2 and modded that one. It worked! cool.gif

well, gamecube is so great, that you don't need to modify it. it's good the way it is, no modification required. _smile.gif

Haha I've never heard of anyone modding their GameCube, but I'm sure people have done it.

It's hard to find songs for Stepmania. I just bought DDRUltramix yesterday...speak of the devil. I am waiting for my universal controller adaptor to come in, though, so I can use my PS2 DDR pad on my Xbox.

I have a few hundred songs. From DDR 2nd mix to 4th mix. And DDR max. And a bunch of videogame and anime music.

Sorry for the double post. Installing a mod chip is when you open up your game console to put in a chip or something so it can play import games, play backups, and do other things. Some cool things with a mod chip is that you can put one in an Xbox and save games to the harddrive. Only if you actually own the game, though.

laugh.gif xbox mod rocks!! not that expensive actually...100 bucks....all it is is replacing the xbox hard drive with a 200 GB hard drive so you can upload game onto it. _dry.gif i don't have one though because my mom isn't too hyped up about it.

Of course she isn't hyper about it...parents just don't understand. lol That's why I get those little giftcards that you can use to buy things online so I don't have to bug my parents to buy me things online.
