I have a question.. It's not really about official member, designer, promoter.. but please read. I don't know where else to put it.

When I go looking through the forums, I see posts from people who are "mentors" "design staff/ people staff/ etc... etc.." how did they become "staff" "mentors" "head staff" etcc etcc.. theres more, I know.. Just can't think of them off the top of my head. Do you understand what I'm asking? How did they become more than just "official ___"?

No worries about inquiring about staff, since it's titles (I think) you are curious about, sort of.

Here's the cB FAQs thread, although please note that it is terribly outdated. However, it does go over the titles a bit to give you a general idea of what they each mean.

lmao you have to click show more profile boxes at the end to the left. Okay, i put the groups box right under my information, so it should be very easy to see even with out the coffe. wink.gif Its not a link to cB but it is a link to the cB group on facebook.

I tried adding a text link on my profile but it didnt allow HTML! cry.gif

Oh and im getting through college with the help of double caffeine coffee at my local circle K. happy.gif

True, but the 1000/2 ppd combo isn't indefinite. So if you manage to get up to 1001 and then stop posting for whatever reason, you could lose your OM status since feasibly your ppd would be lower. The 3500 post rule ensures that regardless of your ppd, you have OM status indefinitely. Does that make any sense?

I have two other usernames that I don't ever use - is it possible for me to combine them to the one I'm on now? I've got over 3k in posts and at least 2ppd for one of them. And if you look at my activity for the past month on this username, I post more than 2/day.

< wants official member status back.

The answer is no. You must be a staff member to do what you have referenced.

Please send me a PM that includes your additional accounts for a couple of reasons. One so that I can combine your posts, two because you are not supposed to have more than one account.

All it means is that the link stays in place, like you don't remove it after you've been made an official member.

And Dani posted about the lower requirements here. =p

Yep. I posted that link since that is where you're supposed to apply. xD The reading through them part was for the link/group specifics. =)

If you want to add me, my MySpace is in my sig, so that I can see your MySpace.

They're multiple accounts made by members who already have active accounts. Making multiple accounts is not allowed (except in certain cases), so the duplicate usernames are placed in that group and cannot be used to post.

Official designer requirements
There's nothing sexier than knowing youre an official designer of the best designing community on the internet. Here's what you'll need to do to be eligible:
  • The following submissions:
    • 10 unique layouts (*Myspace: 10 div overlays or 20 standards.)
    • OR 10 vectors/renders
    • OR 20 banners/wallpapers
    • OR 50 avatars/icons
    • OR 15 TOTAL submissions of layouts and/or graphics. (AVATARS NOT INCLUDED)
  • Variations of the same layout and graphic count as one.
  • A link to us from your site (Xanga, Myspace, LJ, etc).
  • No other requirements, not even minimum posts!

^^^Still, Elba's fact still stands.

Out of curiousity, when it says things like 20 banners SLASH wallpapers, or 15 total submissions of layouts and/or graphics...

Does this mean you can add up your banners and wallpapers to make twenty, or does it have to be twenty of one or the other?

And I don't get the 15 TOTAL submissions of layouts AND/OR graphics. Someone explain this to me, my brain's not working.

^20 altogether of banners/wallpapers. Doesn't have to be one of the other.

15 TOTAL submission of layouts and graphics (NOT AVATARS) - simply means that we will count up the graphics and layouts you have contributed (except for avatars under graphics) and if it equals to 15 than you can be a Official Designer _smile.gif

Yes,
as long as you meet one of these:
# OR 10 vectors/renders
# OR 20 banners/wallpapers
# OR 50 avatars/icons

then your fine.

I'm fairly certain that one can only put someone down as having referred you when you first register. Unfortunately, you may have simply missed the boat on this one. I'll look into it, though.

The way that I am aware of doing that is to have them apply though this URL
CODE
http://www.createblog.com/refer.php?id=xxx
and to put your member number (in your case 503053) at the end.

This might help you a bit more.

Not at all. As long as they don't have more than one active account, there isn't a problem.

The only problem is that accounts can't actually be deleted very easily, but if yu have her get in contact with one of the Admins via PM, they'll do what they can.

We are not supposed to be deleting accounts. Have her re-register and add the referral credentials in the way Dee (karmakiller) has presented. We can then add the other account to the duplicate user group.

If you haven't already, ask her to contact on of the Admins... or just me, and tell her to let one of us know that she has another account. Just to make sure that we're all on the same page. _smile.gif

^Yeah, typically as soon as an administrator sees your post they'll go ahead and promote you then delete your post. Sometimes I send a PM letting the member know that their user group has changed, but I don't always remember! xD

Just post in the application topic, and state which one you want to be.
A admin will delete the post when they see it, and the application is left in their hands.

Posts there don't count because they usually contain no substance. Most forums do not count posts in their forum games section.

Do you have to link to them on your website? Myspace?

The link should be somewhere on the main page, static so that it's always there. When you apply, give us a link to your page (if it's a private MySpace, you'll have to either make it public or toss one of the admins an invite), we'll check it out and update your member group. :)

Ok so just on my myspace.

I have a website too. Does it need to be on there?

So what advantages are there to being a official designer?

Except for the title?

Honestly, not much other than the title, a bit more PM space (if memory serves... I'm getting old lol) and access to the VIP Lounge. Oh and no flood control.

One site is fine.
