It's fucking annoying. I'll click on someone's username and select "Find Member's Posts" and that "hey bitch, wait 15 seconds" message ALWAYS comes up, regardless if I'd searched for something or not.

I'm just saying that if flood control stays for Official Members, at least have it done for staff members. Sometimes I'll have five tabs open to close topics, but I'd have to wait and redo it because of flood control. It's just efficient.

Official members / designers / promoters all have special benefits that regular members don't. By becoming one, you help promote this site to become a bigger and better community. In addition, you'll receive 200 PM storage space, an upgrade from the original 100 PM storage space. You'll have the capacity of editing your own topic titles and descriptions and bypass flood control.

Because of that, for a while I thought we could and thought it was just my account.

You must have a slow internet connection if, by the time you hit refresh, it goes away. I could hit refresh 10 times and it'll still be there.

end of discussion though. back on topic. and if you're going to reply. since i know your ego needs to be the last to respond, i won't reply back to it.

anyways, i hate the flood control. OM deserves it. so does staff.

Anyway, I agree that the search flood control should be taken off.

To answer your question regarding Jusun, he does check, but unfortunately not too often. One of the administrators can contact him if it's an emergency, but I'm not sure if this qualifies as an emergency or not.

Again, I think it's just that the OM and OD description is missing the word "posting." Everyone has the 15-second flood control when searching; it's when making replies that OMs, ODs, and staff members don't have flood control.

OK, I understand the idea of it being a perk for OMs, etc, but given that ALL members are told to use the search feature to avoid repeat topics, isn't a bit ridiculous for there to be restrictions on it on the first place?

Why make it harder to abide by the rules?

I guess I don't feel comfortable doing that as it was a setting turned on by jusun for a pretty good reason. He has to pay for these servers, and we have had problems with burning up our monthly resources in the past. (does anyone remember that?)

You can't "spam" search, and you have to wait ever 15 seconds to make a new search. but that search flood control is gone now. search as much as you want in a short period of time.
