is your dress quite low key and a neutral colour? if it is smokey eyes will work.
however, for your eyes i think that a thin line of liquid black eyeliner flicked out at the edges, and perhaps some silver kohl liner as well, with lashings of mascara, will bring out your eyes nicely :)

have you heard of the makeup brand benefit? if you have, my eye-makeup favourite is eye bright, its absolutely amazing.

minimalistic is much better than dramatic. and if you end up with watery eyes, you dont want a load of perfect makeup spilling D:
and if your date/crush look into your eyes, you want attention on your eyes, not your work of art makeup pinch.gif

What's your dress like?

I think that if you don't really wear makeup all the time, you should keep it pretty simple. Don't go for a very dark/black smokey eye, instead do a lighter smokey, either with grays, browns or more interesting colours. Maybe try purple - yeah it might sound intimidating, but using muted colours won't be as flashy.

I would sweep a medium shade of your desired colour across your lids up a little above your crease, and then choose a darker shade and work it into the hollows of your crease. Blend! Then add a little highlight colour under your brow and in the inner corners of your eyes. Use eyeliner if you want to (I'm personally not a fan because it makes me look whore-ish, but you have pretty eyes so it'll be fine), top and/or bottom, and finish with mascara. Remember to curl your lashes first! And I would suggest a waterproof one...you don't want it smudging throughout the day.

If you didn't understand what I said at all, check out some makeup tutorials on YouTube. There are TONS of people on there who give great advice.

for your eyes, i think a nice light purple to help your eyes pop out. have it go from where your lashes start to the crease. also, i suggest maybe some white underneath to try and brighten up your eyes but it also helps with dark circles and bags.

might i also suggest that you want to do the smoky look you don't have to do it with just black. you can also try something like this:

and if you don't want to do it yourself, just go to a make-up store and get consultants to help you out. explain that you're going to your junior prom and they'll do a smoky eye look for you. if you don't like the end result, then you can have them do something else. but from what i've read in magazines, smoky eyes look good on just about anyone _smile.gif

and if you have a sephora store where you are, they'll do your make-up for free :)

You could also try MAC. MAC is really with using color and you could do a smoky eye with color instead of the typical grey/black. It depends on your preference and your whole look in general. And if you do have makeup artists do it for you, don't be afraid to tell them that you don't like it or that you want it to be different, because it's your night so you should feel and look your best.

also...try to put like a little bit of shimmer to your eye makeup...since it's gonna be such a wonderful occasion, a little twinkle in your eyes would be very nice. but that's my opinion...BUT DON'T GO OVER BOARD WITH IT! oh man...too much is just what it is.

If you don't usually wear makeup, I wouldn't go for a serious smokey eye. Go to a counter and ask for something minimalistic for a formal occasion. You don't want to frighten your date.
