I think it's like a nationwide thing...

Has anyone ever been on a Natural Helpers retreat? It's a three-day thing where you and a bunch of people from your school go to some camp somewhere and share feelings and learn how to help others. It's really, really fun although sometimes kind of cheesy.

I just went on one this past Wednesday - Friday. My school's kind of small so I sort of knew everyone, but I did make one new friend that I'm quite happy about. I also got to know some of my more acquaintance-like friends much better.

wow i went to one in the 8th grade, it was really cheesy and all we did was talk the same shit we already knew about each other.

the only good thing about it was time away from home.

I wish my school had that kind of thing. As cliche as it sounds, I've always wanted to go to Africa to help them out. mellow.gif

This is the first time I've heard about it, but it sounds nice. Do you bunk in a cabin or sleep in a tent?

I wasn't allowed to go on my retreat because of my absenteeism. Kind of bullshitty, but I already knew just about everything the trip entailed, and I'm a terrorist.
