i don't understand what the diference is between eating an orange and drinking a glass of orange juice..everyone's always like, orange juice always has so much more sugar, but when i check the ingredients of Tropicana orange juice, its just oranges and ascorbic acid.
so whats the difference? the same with apples and apple sauce/juice?! i guess my main question is...is there a difference if the ingredients are just the fruit and some added vitamin? |

flavor wise, i guess the juice has more because its so much at once. like..lotsa oranges ![]() ![]() i prefer orange juice than having to go through the hassle of oranges.. |

I found this article on the benefits of eating an orange versus drinking orange juice.
Basically, an orange has fewer calories because nothing has been added to it. It's completely natural. With orange juice, even though it has a lot of vitamin C, it has significantly more calories since things are added to the drink form. |

orange juice also has waayyy too many sugars per serving. It's not bad to drink it since it still provides you so much vitamin C. Just don't drink so much of it thinking that super doses of vitamin C will help you even more. The article says that consuming more than a certain milligram amount of vitamin C won't necessarily benefit your body. |

Plus, keep in mind that there's things added to help maintain the shelf-life (fridge-life?) of orange juice.
