It looks like emberfly just took the template sheet from Hollister's main website and pasted it onto his profile.

When you post a layout, especially when you're promoting your site for a "of the month" win, you really should accept criticism, accept that people have taken the time to actually look at your layout. I think the design community in generally frowns upon jocking, period, regardless of how innocent it may be or seem. From the distant eye, it would appear that you are promoting something of your own without it being completely something of your own. Sure, you personalized it. But there's a huge difference between personalizing something and actually coding something entirely. That's all I'm saying. |

when people use things like ipods, phones, etc for their layouts its completely different than using an actual WEBSITE LAYOUT for your own site. i don't see how you couldn't see the difference there.
the whole point of _otm is that the graphics and the coding need to be made by the designer. |

As for emberfly's old HCO profile... I guess everyone pretty much already covered it all. I know you were trying to be "creative", but actually taking the designs (whether it may be print-screening or saving the image) is not creative at all. In fact, it's the most unoriginal thing imaginable. It's called PLAGIARISM. You always talk about learning about grammar in school... I'm surprised you haven't covered plagiarism yet. |
