Tutorials for posting a website online?, know of any? |

I have the majority of my website created and coded with files on my computer...i am ready to start putting it online on the actual website...i already found a host and created an account with them but now i am pretty confused..does anybody know of any good tutorials or references to guide through this part of actually putting your stuff online? (uploading, arranging, etc.)

Which host did you choose? More than likely you'll upload everything using an FTP client, but sometimes you may do things differently depending on your host. If you'll let me know, I'll try to write up instructions for you that will work specifically with the host you've chosen.

Alright do they have their own control panel? Most places do and they show a screen shot of it but I can't seem to find one. If you can get into the control panel and take a screen shot and post it here I'll be more than happy to help you out.
 Also always feel free to contact them: http://steadfast.net/support/contacts.php you spent your money buying a hosting plan by them so they should be able to help you. As Dani said, there should be a icon that says FTP Client, this is a file transfer protocol, you can take stuff from your computer and put it on your website. Remember with websites to set the look of your front page make sure to name your file, index.htm |
