My mom can't drive, so I have to drive her where ever she goes, and she deals with my music. Granted, I don't play metal when she's in my car, just out of respect for her. But she listens to rock and has no problem. There are even times that I let her listen to country and I deal with it ('cause I hate country).

As you get older, they tend not to care (at all) anymore.
From the time i turned 14 they really just stopped caring what i listened to.

Its just one more irrelevant thing you have to deal with, the less problems you have with your kid the better.

Not really, they don't really mind what music I play because they're rarely home 99.99% of the time. And when they are home, I don't blast my music so it doesn't bother them. :D. They actually sometimes use some of my Chinese music and they listen to it in their cars. . It's kind of weird having your parents listen to the same music as you e____e.
