Considering this has happened to me too many freakin times to count, what do you think of when a food service messes up your order? Does it mind if its something small or just anything?

Personally, pizza companies always mess orders up. I always get an order of cheesesticks from Papa Johns (its the perfect size for one person, and its like a cheese pizza). It comes with one(1) garlic cup and one(1) pizza sauce cup. I tell them on the phone to replace the garlic with a pizza cup and they act like im asking them to do college Physics equations or something.

Them-"Wait, you want to replace the garlic with a pizza *in a wtf tone*.
Me-" Yeah, you just take one out and put the other one in"
Them- "Well let me ask my manager"

srsly theyve tried to charge me for doing it. Also, onion rings tend to burn to a crisp, and they expect me and my friends to eat them. wtf.

ok your thoughts? (sorry for the rant, its just happened over 30 times and im not kidding.)

I HATE HATE HATE it when food places mess up my order. If I specifically ask for no damn onions in my cheeseburger, don't give me any! Then when I dig in for a bite, I'm like wtf is that taste, and then, I see a onion. I was like what the hell. I probably complained really loud and some staff members may have possibly overheard me, but whatever. I usually just take it out myself. I don't really go back and bitch at them unless it's something like pizza and not wanting a specific toping. I mean, geez people. You guys aren't getting paid for nothing!

Good thing I've never gotten the wrong thing when I ordered food though, especially if it was a delivery or take out. I would have been pissed off like shit. And charging for a replacement with absolutely ridiculous. You should have said "f**k you! I'm never eating here again!" and then they'll usually listen to what you have to say because they want to keep you as a customer, haha.

If I really like the place's food, then I won't feel too pissed off about it, but if it's a brand new place that I've ever been to and they mess up my order, it leaves a terrible impression on me. Because I hate ordering, thinking I'm going to get what I ordered, wait 15-25 minutes, and then end up getting something entirely different. I hate that. Especially if they f**k up the whole thing; I expect waiters or pizza guys to repeat what I want for me before they run off to make the wrong order.

Everywhere I go I have to get a custom order because I have galactosemia. Its like Lactose Intolerance times 50. But yeah, I have to order everything without cheese or its actually going to kill or hospitalize me. Everyplace gets it wrong because the world is filled with semi-retarded douches that don't know their ass from their hair. I should sue next time.

I don't eat meat, so I always have to clearly explain to some people not to put meat on my food >_>

Anyway I hate eating out just for all the idiots that can't take a simple order. I think its simply because if I had a job like that I just wouldn't make the simple f**k ups they do constantly.

I remember bojangles (fast food in NC) just opened up and my dad went there and got a whole bunch of stuff, my mother goes through to find out they gave us the completely wrong order. She took all the food back, threw it on the counter and threw the biggest bitch fit I've ever seen.

She went home happily with her original order and 3 bags of free food to make shut up.

I grew up with my dad being anal about the way people bring out his food. "Um, I'm sorry. This wasn't cooked properly. Take it back."

...so now I don't do it, because it was always so embarassing. I've never worked in food service, but I can imagine it can get pretty hectic with several people all wanting different customizations on their food...

Usually I just order chicken fingers wherever I go. biggrin.gif How can you mess up those?

This has probably happened only a couple times but yes, it's annoying. Unless it happens in a good way - like they give more instead. Hah.

Oh my god, I swear everytime I go to McDonalds they mess up my order. How hard is it to listen to what I say and then press a button on the keyboard? Jeez. I swear, one time my little sister asked for no ketchup on her burger. On the receipt it said

1 CHSBGR HAPY ML
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP
NO KTCHP

...they put ketcup on the burger.

I don't eat out that much, but when I do expect them to get my order right... esspeically when they repeat it back to you! If it's someone who's new there or it's particularly busy I'll be more understanding.

I actually have been pretty lucky. My orders don't get messed up and if it was, it's not a big thing. Like I can pick out the onions if they get left in my burger.

Even if it was messed up, I'm always afraid of sending it back to get fixed. I watched this show called When Chefs Attack and it really grossed me out. I'm scared they'll get insulted and mess with my food.

Mind you all, these people probably hate their jobs, and for what its worth they're getting paid horribly, so the next time someone messes up your order; DONT TRIP, heaven only knows the problems they have that are much bigger than your missing fries.

Suck it up sissy's ketchup wont kill you.

They don't usually mess up my order, but usually what we do is order about 6 Double Cheeseburgers, for three of us, they end up giving up ten, but that's becuase it's so damn crowded at lunch at McDonalds.

That always happens at fast food places like Mc Donald’s. I ask for a cheese burger I get a chicken nugget instead.
Happens a lot at our local Chinese restaurant too. Sometimes we get a completely different order then what we asked for. I know one time we ordered sesame chicken, general tso chicken, and sweet and sour chicken. And we ended up with some ribs, chow mein, and some other kind of soup.

Today we were eating at Red Robin and my dad said specifically not to put tortilla chips on his chili and the waitress said ok and what did she come out with. Tortilla chips on his chili. It's not like she didn't hear him. rolleyes.gif

i LOL'd at that for some reason.

i don't think i've had any major screwups. usually it's they give us something extra that's really good. like this chinese place we ALWAYS order from, we used to get random things. now i think they do it on purpose ( 'cause we're regular customers and always pay big. shifty.gif
also, mom brought home Taco Bell one night, and i asked her to bring me some of those cinnamon swirl thingys. well, the receipt said one order, but we got 6. (obviously didn't eat them all that night...) laugh.gif

I haven't had too many bad experiences with this, but I used to work with food and I never or very rarely got orders wrong and I saw co-workers who did all the time. ITS NOT THAT DIFFICULT PEOPLE.

So yeh, I agree, people who make mistakes on food all the time need to pay attention. Its not that hard.

I'm a pretty big a-hole when it comes to shit likes this depending on what type of person my waiter is.

I figure if I manage to get shit right when I work, they should too.

I got royally pissed when I got the wrong order at Cheesecake Factory. It was all dried up and dying. hammer.gif They replaced it, and gave me a complimentary piece of cheesecake.

Growing up with parents that wouldn't mind one bit in complaining their asses off, I tried not to when I was younger.

Now though I don't mind so much, especially when it's done mutiple upon mutiple of times.

But I don't yell.
Then they spit in your food

It depends if I'm in a rush or something. :D But if I'm not and they mess up my order, I pretend to be really annoyed and then maybe I don't have to pay for it. :D
