I don't know if this goes under Technology or not, but.

Is it just me, or is YouTube slow at updating? Err, like. I know it has to do with cache or cookies or w/e. But, say, when I get a new message, it says (1) at the top right next to the envelope icon. So I check out the message, and it then says (0) at the top. Then after that, while I browse other videos, the (1) shows up again. Same with my subscriber count and everything.

It irritates me.

Eh, Deviantart does that to me. I think it's just the size of the server and how many users are online at the time. Irritating.

That's what I figured. But I compared it to MySpace, and I can't recall a time when MS did that to me.

I believe youtube is overrated that most people do not provide any financial support. Majority of the people, i believe, do not click on ads or pay in a certain amount of money to maintain the quality of youtube. Each day, youtube is going through rapid challenges to hold the videos as much as they can. At the same time, they do their best to remove videos that violates their term of agreement or entertainment industries. That's not the case; they try their best to reduce storage taken by the members.

As more people become actively engage in the video world, you tube have to work much harder to combat any errors and damages causes by the people, viruses, and unexpected event. Nothing is ever perfect for anyone hosting their websites.

Therefore, the problem you have depends on youtube's capability to maintain efficiency.
