^ That's the scary part though. You're half of 40, a third of 60 - you'll not feel any different then.

Gives me the willies just thinking about it.

For me, I got a late jump on life, as I wasn't able to have any freedom until I turned 17. With that being said, 20 is the worst age that you can possibly be at. For those of us that like to go out and bar/club hop and what not, it is tough because you are so close to 21, yet so far away from it. I can't count how many events I missed, because of the age limit. Enjoy it while you can, because when you turn 21, you will truly be on your own.

It sounds very depressing.
I honestly cant wait to turn 20. But that scares me. Not being able to be an idiot.
Another 5 years for me. So I'm safe for now.

^ Not really. When the clock struck my 20th birthday, hair sprouted all over my face and body like weeds, muscles exploded from my skin, and I grew about nine inches. I opened my mouth to utter a yelp of surprise, but out came a full recital and analytical solution to Schrödinger's quantum mechanical equation. Looking back, it was all pretty underwhelming.

Ahh, the joys of still being 16. It will probably come and go a lot faster than I think it will, since everyone keeps saying that. But it will still seem like forever up untill it's actually all over with. If that makes any sense.

f**k, this scares me too. Can I just get to be 21 and then stop aging? (Bad Forever 21 puns avoided.) I'm already 18, after spending so many years wondering what that'd be like, and here I am...I guess I already made a topic to ramble on about this, but I still have NO idea what I want to do with my life...

hmm well I'm 16, and college is coming up in over a year... I'm actually excited to become 20-ish, because it seems like where you're making the most changes and at your peak. And I'm pretty sure about my overall plan during that whole time. I might feel old when I actually get there though rolleyes.gif

I refuse to settle down.

Every once in a while, I'll jump up and do something crazy.

Like posting sober on Createblog or eating fishfood to see if it tastes as bad as it smells (it doesn't - it's much worse).

I on the contrary want to be 21 already. Im 18 ill be 19 in september and i think the twenties are so much better than the teenage years. All the teenage years are is heartaches, heartbreaks, sneaking out in the middle of the night (because your not allowed to be out past a certain time) and hope your ass wont get caught.

The twenties are the new teens in my opinion, you party and work and learn to balance everything out.

I remember one day i was at a club and it was four in the morning and i had to work that morning at seven, so i left went home took a shower and drove to work i was so sleep deprived LOL. biggrin.gif good times.

A few of you made it sound like turning 20-21 is horrible, but I honestly can't wait.I get sick of not having any freedom because my mom is so over-protective.I'd love to be able to go out and drink and not have to worry about getting caught. XD.gif

I don't think it's a matter of being afraid of it, so much as it's really weird to think about.

Being immature forever, on the other hand, probably won't help things.
