I was having a discussion with my friend a while back but since it was raining today, the conversation popped back into my head. We were debating whether or not you would be hit by the same amount of precipitation if you walked slow or if you ran fast. I believe my friend said that either way we would be hit by the same amount because if you ran, the raindrops or snow would hit against your face faster and if you walked slowly, they would still fall on you, just at a slower pace.

What do you guys think? (For those of you who know the laws of physics and answer to every question in the world, bare with me.) mellow.gif

I definitely think that the same amount of precipitation would most likely fall, either way you're still hit with raindrops or snow. Whether you walk or run, the rain drops will still hit you at the same pace. I'm not much of a physics person so I don't really know if this'll be true or not. This is just what I personally think.

For some reason I think if you run you get wet less. I always run when it rains when I don't have a umbrella. I don't know. I think it would be the same though.
