How is there not a topic on this yet?
Winners/Noms: http://www.oscars.org/80academyawards/nominees/index.html I was hoping Juno would win more. There Will Be Blood/No Country were not surprises. Actually, there were no surprises this time. Discuss. |

I find Johnny Depps number of nominations vs number of Oscars upsetting. The man's brilliant -- but Daniel Day Lewis totally deserved that.

QUOTE Wow, i actually thought transformers had better visual effects than did the golden compass. Agreed. I thought the awards were kind of boring this year. The nominations and the winners were predictable. 2007 movies weren't that great to me. |

That's because the one that won was so much better. I was ready to rip my ears out when Amy Adams was singing that song.

Disappointed that once again Cate Blanchett has been passed up. I'll still never understand why they gave an Oscar to Gwyneth Paltrow for Shakespeare in Love instead of Cate Blanchett for Elizabeth. Just goes to show how retarded the Oscars can be. At least in my opinion it does.
